25th July: It was a bit short and sharp but the first hours of the mrng saw the best arrival of migrants so far this autumn, with 100 WW, 30 Sand Martin, 10 Sedge W, 5 Yellow Wag, 4 Wheatear, 2 Ringed Plover & a Grasshopper W at the Bill. Sea busy incl 550 Med Gulls, 29 LBBGulls south & 8 Mallards

Still lots of reward from the Obs garden moth-traps with the picks from last night's catch being 3 Striped Hawks, 2 Eastern Bordered Straw & singles of Many-lined, Convolvulus Hawk, Cosmopolitan & Ni. Moth-trap total certainly doesn't reflect the prodigious numbers of Silver Ys nectaring at dusk.
