With the wind having strengthened several more notches birding on the land became hard and unproductive work today, with only a distinct uptick in waders at Ferrybridge to show for the efforts; totals there included 48 Dunlin, 5 Redshank, 3 Little Ringed Plovers and singles of Redshank, Whimbrel and Common Sandpiper, with the 5 Redshank also showing up at West Weare and an additional Whimbrel was logged at the Bill. Passerine passage was limited to passing Sand Martins, that included 60 through at Ferrybridge. Yellow-legged Gull passage gathered momentum, with up to 4 settled at the Bill and some of the same or others seen over the sea there. Also at sea, the Balearic Shearwater total got to around 20 and an Arctic Skua was amongst the other loggings.
