A post-dawn deluge preceded a little flurry of migrants, particularly within the crown fields where two
Grasshopper Warblers, 15
Sedge Warblers and a
Tree Pipit were both seen and ringed throughout the morning. A small movement of
Wheatears was evident with 13 recorded predominantly through the top fields. The sea was anti-climatic with only a single
Arctic Skua of note. Ferrybridge was once again the place to be with a selection of waders including singles of
Green Sandpiper,
Whimbrel and
Knot.
