The first day of a new month brought with it a drop in the wind and clearing of the sky (albeit interspersed with some heavy showers). The very slow arrival of
Chiffchaffs continued with three birds around the Church Ope/Bumpers Lane area. The sunshine also saw the beginnings of
Meadow Pipits moving with single figures seen coming in off the sea. A
Bonxie and two
Red-
throated Divers were the highlights of the morning's seawatch and seven
Purple Sandpipers remained at the Bill.
