The spectacle of an eclipse when it didn't even get dark was maybe on a par with today's migration happenings - something of a damp squib. WWs just about struggled into double figures at the Bill, where a miscellany of waders - 13 Whimbrel, 9 Ringed Plovers & a Knot - provided a little interest.

Of course, taking no notice of the ‘official’ way to watch the eclipse, reaped its own rewards….as with this joint team effort on the Portland Obs Patio this evening… 😉
