The start of the new month was a wee bit too influenced by the end of the old one, with the dregs of yesterday's fierce wind still a feature into the morning. Migrant numbers barely improved with 2 Firecrests - one a new arrival - the best of the low single figure totals of routine fare on the ground at the Bill; overhead, single Merlins passed through at Reap Lane and the Bill. Some limited sea movement included 130 Mediterranean Gulls and 21 Sandwich Terns through Ferrybridge and a Red-throated Diver passing the Bill.
