Steady day-long trickle of arriving hirundines + a few Swifts today but quiet for passerines: 3 Spot Flys, 2 Yellow Wags and a few other singles at the Bill. Sanderlings still moving: 12 at the Bill & 22 at Ferrybridge; also 3 Knot at Fb. GNDiver still in Portland Hbr & 2 GCGrebes off Chesil.

A pleasant day on Portland Sanderling still near the Pulpit Rock also found Whinchat and Spot Fly more Painted Ladies in, but disappointing to find these Guillemot eggs on the footpath that had been predated by Ravens and the big Gulls but happens every year. pic.twitter.com/Wq3lzO4z5a

With a small arrival of Painted Lady butterflies in recent days, there has been a bit of an orange theme to the species currently on the wing in and around the obs garden. pic.twitter.com/2Fr7dSNB2E
