15th January

After another night of weather excesses - did we hear correctly that overnight Portland Bill was the windiest place in south-west England? - there was a conspicuous/predictable lack of action on the sea where the only morsels of interest concerned single Red-throated Divers settled off Chesil Cove and the Bill. Elsewhere the 2 Blackcaps remained at the Obs, the Hooded Crow was still at the Grove and 15 Black-necked Grebes, 5 Slavonian Grebes, 2 Great Northern Divers and an Eider were in Portland Harbour.
