Clear skies and sunshine all the way again today, with most new arrivals on the land being overhead visible migrants. Fairly limited coverage at the Bill detected just a tiny trickle of inbound
Meadow Pipits and
alba wagtails, with the first
Grey Wagtail of the spring the best amongst them; on the ground, 3
Long-tailed Tits were the first at the Obs this year, whilst more 6
Red-throated Divers passed by on the sea. Elsewhere, a
Blackcap was at Southwell and 1200
Mediterranean Gulls, 5
Black-necked Grebes and a
Great Northern Diver in Portland Harbour.
Five Large Tortoiseshells were on the wing at Church Ope Cove.
