With the weather quietening down as the day went on there was lots of Short-eared Owl activity through the afternoon - with at least 4 scattered far and wide around the Bill area - but the day's only other reports were of 4 Purple Sandpipers, a Chiffchaff and a Firecrest at the Bill and another 2 Chiffchaffs at Southwell.
A White-speck was amongst the very few moths caught overnight at the Obs.
