8th May

A day that'll quickly be forgotten save for us perhaps discovering by the end of it that some sort of long-standing May rainfall record was broken, with a deluge seeing in dawn, continuing mizzly outbreaks preventing most meaningful fieldwork and another torrent from teatime until well after dark seeing the day out - all in all pretty grim! A Curlew Sandpiper at Ferrybridge and 2 Great Northern Divers through off the Bill were easily the highlights of the handful of  migrants logged.
