Not the nicest conditions today with a constant stiff westerly blowing under really dreary skies. The sea got most of the attention, with 2 Grey Phalaropes at Chesil Cove and another through off the Bill the chief rewards. Totals of 500 Kittiwakes and 460 auks made up the bulk of the numbers off the Bill, where 37 Balearic Shearwaters, 13 Common Scoter, 7 Manx Shearwaters and 4 Arctic Skuas provided some variety. Two Yellow-legged Gulls grounded at the Bill and a Caspian Gull in Chesil Cove added to the mix, with a wrecked Manx Shearwater also featuring in Chesil Cove. The handful of passerine migrants overhead and on the ground included nothing out of the ordinary.
