11th August

A day that from the migrant-hunters point of view was over almost as soon as it got started since it was quickly apparent that precious little had made landfall. Searches of the Bill area came up with little more than 15 Willow Warblers and 10 Sedge Warblers on the ground and just the lightest trickle of hirundines passing through overhead. Seawatching there came up with 13 Common Scoter and 5 Manx Shearwaters.
