The fact that activities were somewhat curtailed by an afternoon spent indoors attending to Obs administrative business couldn't be used as an excuse for today's poor showing - it was so quiet on the migration front that is was almost a relief not to be flogging a dead horse for a few more hours. At the Bill, odds and ends of new arrivals on the ground and overhead included 2 each of
Brambling and
Siskin and singles of
Swallow,
Mistle Thrush and
Redwing, whilst long-stayers looking increasingly like they're thinking of trying to see out the winter here included a
Siberian Chiffchaff and a handful of
Blackcaps,
Chiffchaffs and
Goldcrests. Six
Common Scoter and a
Brent Goose passed by on the sea there.
