The unrelenting wind is beginning to become a real bore and, to boot, there were still plenty of squally showers to dodge again today. A
Velvet Scoter in Portland Harbour was the day's only obvious new arrival (...assuming it was different to the bird that's been lurking just up the Fleet for a few weeks); 2
Black-necked Grebes and 2
Eider were also still there, 10
Pale-bellied Brent Geese and a
Great Northern Diver were the pick of the bunch at Ferrybridge, 4
Firecrests were still at Pennsylvania Castle, at least 50
Common Scoter were still settled off the Bill and 3
Red-throated Divers passed by there.
